Sunday Club.
Is held in the Church Rooms 1100-1215 every 3rd Sunday of the month. Craft sessions for children of all ages are led by a qualified teacher. At 1215 the children join the service in church. See the village web site for details and contacts.

We have an enthusiastic four-part robed Choir to which new members of all ages and voices will be very welcome. Choir practice Wednesday evenings 6.45 - 8.00pm. The choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music, and RCSM events have been staged at our church. We attended the RSCM Devon Area Festival at Exeter Cathedral on 5 November 2011.

Family Groups.
These run in Woodbury and Exton, and provide a forum for discussing faith, mission and community.

We have a full peal of 8 bells in our Tower and our Senior Ringers will be pleased to help newcomers, teenage upwards, to learn the skill.
Bell ringing takes place for 40 minutes before the 11.15am services, and as required at weddings.
We also have Ellacombe Chimes in the tower. This mechanism enables one person to chime the bells (using hammers on the outside of the bells rather than the clappers inside the bells). Listen out for them just before the 8.00 & 11.15am services.
We often welcome visiting bands to our tower.

Flower Arrangers.
We have teams of dedicated flower arrangers who always succeed in making the churches look beautiful!

In 2006 we ran an Alpha course, and an Introduction to Pastoral Care course. A Confirmation course ran last year.
A Lent course ran in the church before Easter.

Coffee mornings.
Join us on 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month (except August) 10–11.30am. It's an opportunity to chat informally with the Rector and members of the Church. These meetings meet alternately in the Church and in people's homes.

Woodbury CofE Primary School.
There are close links between the church and school, with the school often holding services in the church.

In 2010 our two churches paid £27000 to the Diocese (the Common Fund), with running costs on top of this. The total amount comes from what we can raise ourselves. Fundraising includes:

Winter Fair -
Held in November/December. Stalls and an auction in Woodbury Village Hall.

Lychgate stall -
This year will run from 2 June until 29 September, selling fresh local produce of all kinds. In 2012 we raised a record amount for church funds. The stall will also be in church on the first Saturday of each month Jan - June 2012.

St Swithun's Monthly Draw -
Buy a ticket and be in with a chance of winning a cash prize. One prize each month on 3rd Tuesday of each month. Tickets run for 12 months from date of issue. Winners are listed in the church porch.

Devon Historic Churches Day -
The fundraising event for the Devon Historic Churches Trust takes place in early September, with 50% of the amount raised going to named churches. In 2010 our church got a grant from the DHCT towards preventative maintenance work on the tower.

Opens days, coffee mornings, treasure hunts, BBQs...

But... it's not all about raising money to for our two churches. We also raise money throughout the year for a charity which is nominated each year. This year it's Shelterbox: see their website
